S&J Aviators
Samuel “Sam” Hernandez was born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. Since childhood, Sam loved seeing airplanes in the skies. He always dreamed of becoming a pilot. In 2005, Sam moved to Orlando, Fl. to pursue a Computer Networking & Security degree. Nevertheless, his desire to become a pilot always followed him. Therefore, he completed his pilot training a few years later, becoming a commercial pilot. His passion for aviation did not finish there! In 2020, he returned to school for a bachelor’s in aviation science from Liberty University. He distinguished himself by graduating with honors. Besides his bachelor’s degree in aviation, Sam also holds ASEL, ASES, AMEL, CPL, CFI, CFII, MEI, and Part 107 certifications.
Sam is eager to share his passion and knowledge of aviation with others. As a flight instructor pilot, his greatest asset is his ability to teach complex aviation concepts in an easy way for students to understand. He believes this will help them become better and safer pilots. Sam enjoys giving private flight lessons and forming personal relationship with his students.
On his time off, Sam likes to travel with his family, play sports, attend church, and go on mission trips.
